Privacy

When you submit a logo or a correction, we store the email address you provide solely to reply about that submission, and we do not share it with third parties. What you save and follow in your account stays private to you.

Statistics

To learn how the archive is used and to improve it, we record statistics on the site itself, with no third-party tracking tools.

We record the pages you visit, where you came from (the referring site and campaign links), what you search for on the site, its results and what you choose from them, downloads, copies and clicks on outside links, how long you browse and how far you scroll, your type of device, browser, operating system, screen size and language, and your approximate country as your network provider reports it.

To recognise repeat visits, your browser keeps a random identifier that carries neither your name nor your email, in a cookie that is sent only to the statistics address and that the site’s pages never read. It lasts up to 13 months after your last visit, with a session identifier that ends after 30 minutes without activity. In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we keep no lasting identifier.

The server also counts every page it sends: the page, where you came from, your type of device and browser, and your approximate country. To know how many people read in a day, it computes an anonymous fingerprint from your IP address, your type of browser and a secret key that changes every day and is deleted once the day is over: addresses are not stored, the fingerprint cannot be traced back to anyone, and no day can be linked to another.

We do not store your IP address in the statistics, and do not sell or share them. If you are signed in, the Wasmenia team sees your account’s name beside what you visit and search for on the site, and nobody else does; in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we do not link the statistics to your account. Representatives of verified organizations see aggregate figures about their own organization’s pages only. A hashed form of your IP address is used briefly, only to prevent abuse.

Detailed records are deleted after 90 days, search records after 180 days and the server’s page-by-page count after 35 days; aggregate figures are kept.

You can in this browser, which stops both the tracker and the server’s count, and you can . Downloads are counted on the server without any identifier.
